Freelance Services Contract

Between: Jane Smith (Freelancer)
And: Acme Corporation (Client)
The Freelancer agrees to provide professional web development services including, but not limited to: website design, frontend and backend development, quality assurance testing, and deployment to production servers. All work shall be performed in accordance with industry best practices and client specifications.
Total project fee: $12,000 USD. Payment schedule: 50% ($6,000) due upon contract signing, remaining 50% ($6,000) due upon project completion and client approval. Late payments shall incur a 1.5% monthly interest charge.
Upon receipt of full payment, all intellectual property rights, including copyrights and source code, shall transfer to the Client. The Freelancer retains the right to display the work in their professional portfolio.
Project shall be completed within 6 weeks from the contract signing date. Timeline extensions due to client delays or scope changes shall be documented and agreed upon in writing.
Either party may terminate this agreement with 14 days written notice. Client shall compensate Freelancer for all work completed up to the termination date.
